Me(I'm the leftmost) with my two younger sisters (My ancle’s daugters) Born into a poor family that couldn't afford tuition fees, my two elder sisters dropped out of school after primary school to work in other cities, selflessly giving me the precious opportunity to pursue education. I had average academic performance in my early years. When I entered junior high school, my parents had to move to Chaozhou for work due to financial pressures, leaving my sister and me at home. Unfortunately, I fell seriously ill at that time, suffering from pneumonia, myocarditis, pleurisy, and a series of other complications—thus starting a 25-year journey of medical treatment and recovery.
In the past, seeking medical treatment was an arduous journey for me. Despite visiting numerous major hospitals, my chronic health conditions remained unresolved. Determined to find relief, I turned to traditional Chinese medicine, which required traveling to a clinic 15 kilometers away. With no road access for vehicles, I made the trip on foot—a 30-kilometer roundtrip over rugged mountain paths. Every weekend for five years, I walked this distance, wearing through dozens of pairs of shoes along the way. From Monday to Friday, I attended classes at a local secondary school, striving to continue my education despite my health struggles. Balancing illness and studies demanded extraordinary perseverance, and through years of battling physical challenges, I developed a resilient character—one that refuses to give up, faces difficulties head-on, and never backs down in the face of adversity.
